{"id":829145,"date":"2025-02-23T08:11:32","date_gmt":"2025-02-23T14:11:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/02\/23\/970m-public-sector-building-framework-opens\/"},"modified":"2025-02-23T08:11:32","modified_gmt":"2025-02-23T14:11:32","slug":"970m-public-sector-building-framework-opens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/02\/23\/970m-public-sector-building-framework-opens\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00a3970m public sector building framework opens"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"wrapper_sleeve\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"414\" src=\"https:\/\/emap-romulus-prod.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2023\/04\/Maintenance_generic.jpg\"   alt=\"Maintenance_generic.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A \u00a3970m public sector building and maintenance framework has opened for tenders.<\/p>\n<p>The Communities &#038; Housing Investment Consortium (CHIC) is looking for contractors to take on work across a range of jobs including demolitions, extensions and groundwork.<\/p>\n<p>Other tasks covered by the Multi Elements of the Built Environment Framework include roofing, insulation, doors, wiring, scaffolding, electrical and heating.<\/p>\n<p>The four-year framework is divided into two lots, worth \u00a3520m and \u00a3450m each.<\/p>\n<p>The first lot covers the installation replacement, refurbishment, improvement, maintenance and repair of buildings.<\/p>\n<p>The second focuses on communal areas and services in residential properties, including responsive repairs and provision of void works.<\/p>\n<p>Both lots are set to run from later this year until 2029.<\/p>\n<p>CHIC is a not-for-profit consortium for members, which is free and open to any public sector body.<\/p>\n<p>More than 200 organisations, primarily housing associations and councils, are members.
