Donald Cerrone<\/a> is serious about returning to the UFC for two more fights. <\/p>\n

Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD), the UFC\u2019s anti-doping agency, confirmed that Cerrone is back in the testing pool in hopes of an octagon return. \u201cCowboy\u201d also revealed the news on The Pacman Jones Show<\/em><\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cI just re-entered the testing pool so I have to be six months clean,\u201d Cerrone said. \u201cProbably June or July we\u2019ll make the comeback. I\u2019m coming back for two more. Just two more. I want 50 fights [under the] UFC [umbrella]. <\/p>\n

\u201cI promised the wife no matter what happens, no matter the outcome, two more and that\u2019s it. …<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019ll be [at middleweight].\u201d<\/p>\n

In October, Cerrone said he was hoping to return<\/a> to get to the round number \u2014 which already includes 48 total fights in the UFC and WEC combined. Cerrone called it a career in July 2022 when he suffered his sixth consecutive loss, this time at the hands and squeeze of Jim Miller<\/a>, who earned a second-round guillotine choke submission. The 41-year-old hasn\u2019t won a fight in nearly five years \u2014 a decision win against Al Iaquinta<\/a> at UFC on ESPN+ 9 in May 2019.<\/p>\n

UFC CEO Dana White<\/a> said shortly after Cerrone\u2019s announcement that he absolute dislikes it<\/a>, and hoped Cerrone would reconsider.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hate it. I hate it,\u201d White said. \u201cLove him, hate that. … <\/p>\n

\u201cCerrone shouldn\u2019t think about fighting again. Cerrone needs to think about what\u2019s next. He should have been thinking about it two years ago but apparently he didn\u2019t, and he needs to. But we\u2019re here for him. We love Cerrone. We\u2019ll help in any way we can. I don\u2019t want to see him get punched in the face anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
