Two Nigerian footballers are among the top 50 most fouled players in Europe\u2019s major leagues this season, Soccernet.ng<\/a> reports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Despite Victor Osimhen<\/a>, Ademola Lookman, and Victor Boniface<\/a> being Nigeria\u2019s most valuable attacking talents, none of them feature on this list.<\/p>\n

Instead, that distinction belongs to Getafe\u2019s Christantus Uche<\/a> and Augsburg\u2019s Frank Onyeka, according to a report by Eurofootball Rumours.<\/a><\/p>\n

Nigeria\u2019s Uche and Onyeka leading the charge<\/h4>\n

Uche has been a revelation for Getafe in La Liga this season and is Nigeria\u2019s most fouled player in Europe\u2019s top leagues.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old midfielder, who joined Getafe from Ceuta for just \u20ac500,000 last year, has drawn 49 fouls in 24 league appearances.<\/p>\n

While he has been on the receiving end of rough challenges, Uche has not been entirely innocent himself, committing several fouls and picking up five yellow cards.<\/p>\n

However, his impact in attack has been undeniable, netting three goals, including the opener in Getafe\u2019s recent 2-1 victory over Girona.<\/p>\n

Uche ranks 12th overall on the list, just outside the top 10, where Roma\u2019s Paulo Dybala and Torino\u2019s Samuele Ricci occupy higher spots.<\/p>\n

Frank Onyeka, currently on loan at Augsburg from Brentford, is the second most fouled Nigerian in Europe, having suffered 43 fouls. This places Onyeka joint-26th overall, alongside Real Madrid\u2019s Jude Bellingham and Hellas Verona\u2019s Tom\u00e1s Suslov.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old midfielder has been a key figure for Augsburg in the Bundesliga, making 19 appearances (18 starts) and clocking 1,604 minutes so far this season.<\/p>\n

Several other players of Nigerian descent feature in the top 50.<\/p>\n

Manchester United\u2019s Danish-Nigerian full-back Patrick Dorgu is the highest-ranked, sitting joint-3rd with 55 fouls suffered \u2014 level with Manchester City\u2019s Omar Marmoush and Bologna\u2019s Dan Ndoye.<\/p>\n

Germany and Bayern Munich\u2019s Jamal Musiala, who has Nigerian heritage, ranks 39th with 40 fouls suffered \u2014 alongside Franco-Nigerian winger Michael Olise, also of Bayern Munich.<\/p>\n

Newcastle\u2019s Guimar\u00e3es tops the charts<\/h4>\n

At the very top of the list, Newcastle\u2019s Bruno Guimar\u00e3es leads the way as the most fouled player in Europe\u2019s top five leagues, having drawn 82 fouls. Roma\u2019s Manu Kon\u00e9 follows in second place with 58 fouls suffered.<\/p>\n

While Osimhen, Lookman, and Boniface may dominate headlines for their goal-scoring exploits, it\u2019s Uche and Onyeka who are feeling the brunt of Europe\u2019s toughest defenders this season.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
