Former Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, has blasted the Chelsea board for the recruitment process that led to the signature of Jadon Sancho and Noni Madueke, Soccernet.ng<\/a> reports.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 24-year-old Englishman joined the Blues after a fairly decent loan spell with 2024 UEFA Champions League finalists, Borussia Dortmund. Sancho joined Chelsea on a season-long loan with an option to buy included in the deal last summer.<\/p>\n

The fee is worth \u00a320m plus \u00a35m in performance-related add-ons and would be triggered if Chelsea finishes within the top 14 of the English top-flight league at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

However, the move hasn\u2019t panned out positively for both parties. Chelsea are struggling in attack, while Sancho has scored just two goals and six assists in 23 games across all competitions for Enzo Maresca\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

Following Chelsea\u2019s 3-0 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion<\/a>, Sancho\u2019s performance made Mikel<\/a> livid, revealing the Manchester City Academy graduate is yet to justify his wages at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Sancho has recorded just one assist from his last 12 appearances across all competitions, highlighting his poor form.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
