We\u2019ve officially got each team\u2019s new kit for the 2025 season! Another week full of surprises everyone was totally surprised by\u2026 for better or worse.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Here are 10 that (regardless of subjective opinions on whether they\u2019re good or bad) stood out in the crowd.<\/p>\n

Author\u2019s note: My qualifications for building this list are\u2026 I\u2019m still not really sure, to be honest. Someone asked me to start doing posts like this sometime around 2020 because I was in my early 20s. Nobody in charge has questioned it ever since.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Let\u2019s start with one that stood out and<\/em> ranks among the best of this cycle. I\u2019m a sucker for:<\/p>\n

  1. A secondary kit that keeps the team\u2019s colors in mind.<\/li>\n
  2. A secondary kit with a secondary crest that\u2019s arguably cleaner than the standard primary crest.<\/li>\n
  3. A kit that’s straightforward enough to earn the overused \u201cclean\u201d moniker while adding enough details to remain distinctive.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n

    Charlotte<\/a>\u2019s Fortress Kit<\/a> accomplishes all of that. The teal accents on black and white look great. It\u2019s their best look since their inaugural primary kit.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

    Colorado<\/a>‘s doesn\u2019t hit quite like Charlotte\u2019s, but that secondary logo is freaking great. There\u2019s something about it that says \u201cMLS 1996,\u201d but without a whole bunch of MBAs deciding the logos and branding. I believe kits should all be based on skateboarding culture, which, again, is a thing that actually happened.<\/p>\n

    The Headwaters Kit<\/a> feels like a distant cousin of the Crayon Flag (RIP) that you didn\u2019t know well growing up but are having a surprisingly good time talking to at this family function now that you\u2019re both adults. More secondary logos on kits, please. They just look better.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
