Lisa Leslie shared her biggest piece of advice for fellow women\u2019s basketball player, Angel Reese.<\/p>\n
Leslie was a guest on Reese\u2019s \u201cUnapologetically Angel\u201d show that was published<\/a> on Thursday. Reese asked Leslie what advice she would have for the young player entering Reese\u2019s second season in the WNBA.<\/p>\n \u201cThe biggest advice I have for you is going to be how you shoot your layups. Period,\u201d Leslie said. \u201cWe\u2019re going to fix that. That\u2019s fixable for you \u2026 you\u2019re going to get better, and I can help you get better.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Leslie has worked with Reese and is helping her improve her game. She says that Reese has taken the most important first step.<\/p>\n \u201cHearing you like, \u2018yes, I wanna learn, I wanna work hard. I wanna be better.\u2019 Like, my heart melted,\u201d Leslie said. \u201cThe fact that you already had that attitude, you\u2019re going to get better. And I can help you get better. I\u2019m positive.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Reese, 22, was an All-Star during her rookie season in the WNBA this past year. She was the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 draft by the Chicago Sky and averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game over 34 contests. Reese has also since begun playing in the new women\u2019s 3-on-3 league called \u201cUnrivaled.\u201d<\/p>\n Leslie is one of the best players in women\u2019s basketball history. She won two WNBA championships with the Los Angeles Sparks and won four gold medals at the Olympics.<\/p>\n As far as Reese\u2019s game goes, she has struggled to finish her shots around the basket. She is frequently ridiculed for putting up putback attempts<\/a> and missing them.
