Photo by IMAGO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Nigeria <a href=\"https:\/\/soccernet.ng\/2024\/10\/nigeria-2-1-ghana-kparobos-brace-breaks-black-satellites-hearts-as-flying-eagles-defend-wafu-b-crown-watch.html\">won the WAFU B<\/a> regional championship late last year, beating Ghana in the final.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p>\u2014 The NFF (@thenff) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/thenff\/status\/1851747482759201169?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">October 30, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Nigeria\u2019s Flying Eagles, the most successful team in the tournament\u2019s history with seven titles, finished third in the 2023 edition, which was won by Senegal.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, they are among the top-seeded teams, alongside Senegal and hosts C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, as per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghanafa.org\/caf-releases-draw-procedure-for-totalenergies-u-20-africa-cup-of-nations-cote-divoire-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ghana FA.<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>2025 U20 AFCON: Tournament Format &#038; Draw Procedure<\/h4>\n<p>The 13 teams will be divided into three groups:<\/p>\n<p>Group A will have five teams, while<br \/>Groups B and C will each contain four teams.<br \/>The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will qualify for the quarterfinals, leading to the semifinals, third-place playoff, and final.<\/p>\n<p>CAF\u2019s ranking for the draw is as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Senegal<\/strong> \u2013 Winners in 2023<br \/><strong>Nigeria<\/strong> \u2013 Third place in 2023<br \/><strong>Congo<\/strong> \u2013 Second in group stage<br \/><strong>Egypt<\/strong> \u2013 Third in group stage<br \/><strong>Zambia<\/strong> \u2013 Fourth in group stage<\/p>\n<p>The hosts, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, will automatically take position A1, while Senegal and Nigeria will occupy positions C1 and B1, respectively.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_150055\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-150055\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/soccernet.ng\/app\/uploads\/2025\/02\/imago1053083223-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Soccer Nigeria's Flying Eagles celebrate WAFU B success.
