{"id":825949,"date":"2025-02-10T11:12:27","date_gmt":"2025-02-10T17:12:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/02\/10\/intermountain-health-celebrates-ribbon-cutting-for-new-washington-fields-clinic\/"},"modified":"2025-02-10T11:12:27","modified_gmt":"2025-02-10T17:12:27","slug":"intermountain-health-celebrates-ribbon-cutting-for-new-washington-fields-clinic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/02\/10\/intermountain-health-celebrates-ribbon-cutting-for-new-washington-fields-clinic\/","title":{"rendered":"Intermountain Health Celebrates Ribbon-Cutting for New Washington Fields Clinic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New 15,232-square-foot clinic is located at 2947 E 1450 S in St. George, Utah and brings primary care and pediatrics closer to home for Washington County residents.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>St. George, UT (PRUnderground) January 11th, 2025<\/p>\n<div id=\"cwrap\">\n<p>Intermountain Health welcomed the community and caregivers yesterday at the Intermountain Washington Fields Clinic to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of Intermountain\u2019s newest outpatient ambulatory care clinic that will enhance care for patients in Washington County.<\/p>\n<p>The 15,232-square-foot clinic is located at\u00a02947 East 1450 South in St. George and\u00a0brings primary care and pediatrics closer to home for residents of Washington County.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIntermountain Health is committed to clinical excellence and increasing access to exceptional, quality care,\u201d said Mitch Cloward, president of Intermountain Health\u2019s Desert Region, which includes southern Nevada and southwest Utah. \u201cWith the continued expected growth in Washington County and surrounding communities, this new clinic will offer access to family medicine and pediatric care to more families and current patients, closer to home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ribbon-cutting, attended by dozens of dignitaries, community members, Intermountain leaders, providers, and clinic team caregivers, was held at the clinic doors with an official ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>Intermountain Health Desert Region Board of Trustee Cyndi Gilbert, Washington County Commissioner Adam Snow, St. George Mayor Michele Randall, and Jeremy Cox, Intermountain Health market vice president of medical group operations for primary care in the Desert Region, were among those who participated in the festivities.<\/p>\n<p>Following the event, tours and an open house provided visitors with an early look at the clinic.<\/p>\n<p>Family medicine providers\u00a0<a title=\"https:\/\/doctors.intermountainhealth.org\/provider\/matthew-s-mc-iff\/2557724\" href=\"https:\/\/doctors.intermountainhealth.org\/provider\/matthew-s-mc-iff\/2557724\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Dr. Matt McIff<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a title=\"https:\/\/doctors.intermountainhealth.org\/provider\/sheldon-b-moon\/2559999\" href=\"https:\/\/doctors.intermountainhealth.org\/provider\/sheldon-b-moon\/2559999\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Dr. Sheldon Moon<\/a>\u00a0will be caring for patients at the new Intermountain Washington Fields Clinic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to introduce to the community our providers and clinic team who will be caring for patients at this new location,\u201d said Steve Clark, MD, Intermountain\u2019s senior medical director for primary Care for Southwest Utah. \u201cOur commitment to our patients starts with ensuring each person has access to primary care and can see their primary care provider regularly. Establishing preventive care keeps people healthy, out of the hospital, and living their lives to the fullest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"https:\/\/doctors.intermountainhealth.org\/provider\/gary-bosshardt\/2559206\" href=\"https:\/\/doctors.intermountainhealth.org\/provider\/gary-bosshardt\/2559206\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Dr. Gary Bosshardt<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a title=\"https:\/\/doctors.intermountainhealth.org\/provider\/erik-j-wilson\/3015165\" href=\"https:\/\/doctors.intermountainhealth.org\/provider\/erik-j-wilson\/3015165\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Dr. Eric Wilson<\/a>\u00a0will be caring for pediatric patients at Washington Fields Clinic, where lab and X-Ray services also will be available.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis clinic will help parents keep their children healthy by providing them with preventive services,\u00a0care when they are sick,\u00a0mental health care, screening,\u00a0referrals to specialists when needed, and other outpatient services,\u201d said Tim Larsen, MD, medical director for pediatrics for Southwest Utah for Intermountain Health. \u201cChildren will make up a little over 50 percent of the patients that come to this clinic but 100 percent of our future community. So, we are super excited to partner with parents to help our community be healthier into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jacobsen Construction and HKS Architects are the lead firms on the project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIntermountain Health invests in our communities because it is the right thing to do,\u201d said Shey Grossen, executive director for primary care for Intermountain Health\u2019s Desert Region. \u201cThis state-of-the-art clinic closer to home for many Washington County residents ensures access to quality care is more convenient than ever.
