Miley Cyrus Pens Rare Message About “Starting Over”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Miley Cyrus<\/strong><\/a> knows that life is all about the climb.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Disney Channel alum<\/span><\/a> recently reflected on the \u201cdetours\u201d she\u2019s experienced throughout her nearly two-decade career, but she doesn\u2019t have time for regrets.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn my life, when I look back, all the mistakes\u2014anything that I was unsure of or I didn’t understand\u2014I am so proud of every moment and every stage of my life,\u201d she said during a conversation with <\/span>Pamela Anderson<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>posted to <\/span>Instagram<\/span><\/a> Jan. 27.<\/span> <\/strong>\u201cI would not go back and change anything.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And while she jokingly backtracked and said she would, in fact, switch \u201ca couple things I was wearing,\u201d the 32-year-old clarified that she doesn\u2019t actually take her hater\u2019s opinions to heart. \u201cThe thing that upset everyone else,\u201d she added, \u201cwasn’t the thing that upset me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ultimately, Miley feels that her life, as a result of her decisions, \u201calways ends up coming back around to make the next stage of who we are\u2014something that’s more potent, something that’s more real.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The <\/span>Grammy winner<\/span><\/a>\u2014who made waves in 2013 after <\/span>posing nude<\/span><\/a> in her \u201cWrecking Ball\u201d music video and <\/span>performing a risqu\u00e9 number<\/span><\/a> alongside <\/span>Robin Thicke<\/strong> at the MTV Video Music Awards\u2014also shared the inspiration for living her life the way she has, praising Pamela for setting a blueprint.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEver since I was little, it was only Pam,\u201d Miley told the <\/span>Last Showgirl <\/span><\/em>actress. \u201cWhen people would ask me what I want to be when I grow up, I would say you. The whole thing: the tattoos, the hair, the tatas. All of it.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

For her part, <\/span>Pamela<\/span><\/a> agreed with the <\/span>Hannah Montana<\/span><\/em><\/a> <\/span><\/em>star on her philosophy about not regretting past mistakes, telling her that experience makes you wiser.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes you need to go do a little research, then come back to your path,\u201d the <\/span>Baywatch <\/span><\/em>alum said. \u201cAnd you bring it all with you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She explained, \u201cThat is exactly what I need to do. I need to bring it with me. I’m not ashamed of my life. I’m not. I don’t need to let anything go.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Miley knew she wanted to pursue a career in the entertainment industry after seeing a production of Mamma Mia!<\/em> with her dad, who told the Toronto Star<\/em> that she grabbed his arm and said, “‘This is what I want to do, Daddy. I want to be an actress.'”<\/p>\n

5. She made her acting debut on Billy Ray’s PAX TV series Doc<\/em>.<\/p>\n

7. During a 2020 interview with Hilary Duff<\/strong><\/a> on her Instagram Live show Bright Minded<\/em>, Miley admitted the Lizzie McGuire<\/em> star<\/a>\u00a0inspired her to audition for Hannah.<\/p>\n

“The only reason I wanted it was so I could do whatever you did,”\u00a0Miley told Hilary. “And so really, I don’t think I gave a s–t about being an actress or a singer. I just wanted to copy you no matter what.”<\/p>\n

8. Hannah Montana<\/em> premiered in March 2006 and quickly became one of Disney Channel’s highest rated series of all time and made Miley one of Hollywood’s most popular young stars. By 2008, paparazzi photos of Miley were being sold for anywhere from $30,000 to $150,000, according to The Los Angeles Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n

9. While they portrayed best friends on-screen, Miley revealed she and co-star Emily Osment<\/strong> “struggled to get along” during the first two seasons.<\/p>\n

“There was competition between us\u2014girls struggle with that, and we were no exception. 10. After the series ended in 2011\u2014there was also the 2009 big-screen release\u00a0Hannah Montana: The Movie<\/em> in 2009\u2014Miley admitted she struggled to find herself.<\/p>\n

“Some of my audience was so attached to a character, which wasn’t me,” she told Howard Stern<\/strong><\/a> in 2020. “So, then that does a lot of psychological stuff, where it’s like, ‘Am I valuable as myself?’ OK, the whole show’s premise was that when I had my normal hair and looked like myself, no one gave a s–t about me. And then when I got all dolled up and put a wig on, all of a sudden, you know, I’m being chased by people chasing my tour bus. So, that’s a lot to put on a kid\u2014to go, ‘When you’re yourself, no one gives a f–k.’ But then when they go and kind of groom you to look like something else, something that you’re not, and you’re really young, and it’s a lot of makeup and, you know, wigs and all this stuff, it does something psychologically.”<\/p>\n

11. It was love at first sight for Miley when she met her first boyfriend Nick Jonas<\/strong><\/a> at a charity event in 2006, when they were both 13 years old.\u00a0“We became boyfriend and girlfriend the day we met,” Miley revealed to Seventeen<\/em> in 2008. “He was on a quest to meet me, and he was like, ‘I think you’re beautiful and I really like you.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh, I like you so much.'”\u00a0<\/p>\n

After secretly dating, the couple broke up\u00a0and Miley admitted she “bawled for a month straight” after their split. “Nick and I loved each other,” she told the mag. “We still do, but we were in love with each other. For two years he was basically my 24\/7. But it was really hard to keep it from people. We were arguing a lot, and it really wasn’t fun.”<\/p>\n

20. In her 2009 autobiography, Miley revealed she was born with tachycardia, a non-life-threatening condition that makes her heart beat much faster than the normal rate.<\/p>\n
