German Bundesliga Champions Bayer Leverkusen have excluded Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface from their squad, which will take on Sparta Prague in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, Soccernet.ng<\/a> reports.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Boniface\u2019s future has been a big subject in the past week following speculations linking him with a transfer to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.<\/p>\n

The Saudi-based giants have lost Anderson Talisca to Fenerbahce and have identified Boniface and Jhon Duran as the top choices as replacements.<\/p>\n

Al Nassr officials are already in Germany, with reports suggesting they have already agreed on a \u20ac60 million deal with Die Werkself. Boniface is reportedly keen on making the move<\/a>, as Al Nassr have placed a bumper \u20ac15 million per year deal on the table.<\/p>\n

In a new development, per Werkself Xtra<\/a>, Boniface has been excluded from Bayer Leverkusen\u2019s game against Sparta Prague on Wednesday. This is as the club do not want to compromise the Nigerian\u2019s transfer.<\/p>\n

None of the parties involved in the transfer have officially come out to confirm the deal, but it is expected to be finalised in the coming hours, barring any last-minute changes.<\/p>\n

The transfer is good business for Bayer Leverkusen, as they will make more than twice the \u20ac21.7 million they paid Royale Union for the Nigerian\u2019s services in July 2023.<\/p>\n

This is not surprising as the 23-year-old Nigerian attacker has been brilliant since he joined Bayer Leverkusen. The Super Eagles star has registered 29 goals and 11 assists for Die Werkself in 49 appearances.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
