Today is January 7 and the next full moon isn\u2019t until January 13, but Universal has decided today\u2019s the day to reveal the transformation scene from its new<\/a> Wolf Man<\/em><\/a> movie, which opens January 17.<\/p>\n

The \u201chuman becomes wolf\u201d moment is a crucial sequence in any werewolf movie<\/a>\u2014Rick Baker\u2019s visceral work in An American Werewolf in London<\/em> remains the all-time champ, even after four decades\u2014and though fans knew Wolf Man<\/em> would inevitably present its own version, it\u2019s still a little odd to get a glimpse of Christopher Abbott\u2019s character going through all that hairy agony out of context.<\/p>\n
