The company\u2019s pre-tax profit margin grew from 5.1 per cent in the previous year to 7.9 per cent this time around.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The firm\u2019s directors hailed a \u201cstrong financial performance\u201d, achieved despite \u201cmany challenges and disruption\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>They said the outlook at Forth remained \u201cpositive\u201d, citing a pipeline of work worth in excess of \u00a31.5bn, along with more than \u00a31bn of \u201cknown opportunities through to 2028\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe have never monitored as many quality future opportunities,\u201d the firm added in a report accompanying the results.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The directors stated that Forth, which is based in Stirling, had a \u201csolid financial foundation\u201d, including net assets of \u00a353.7m and a cash balance of \u00a331.6m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cOur healthy order book, strong balance sheet, stable long-term workforce and experience has helped us successfully navigate previous economic challenges, and provides the board with confidence that the group will continue to prosper in the future,\u201d said chairman Paul Lowe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The firm\u2019s Support Services division boosted turnover by 17 per cent in the latest year to almost \u00a3130m. Forth also received more than \u00a3138m from facilities management during the period.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Its headcount grew from an average of 1,620 people in 2023 to 1,698 in 2024, according to the report. Staff costs rose from \u00a369.1m to \u00a377.8m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The highest-paid director received just over \u00a31m, up from \u00a3963,000 the previous year, while the a<\/span><span>verage staff wage rose from \u00a336,041 to \u00a340,410.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Forth said training and development was its top priority, carried out at its purpose-built academy in Stirling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The company was placed<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/financial\/cn100-2024-turnover-up-profit-down-as-inflation-bites-12-09-2024\/\"> <span>71st in the latest CN100<\/span><\/a><span> ranking of the UK\u2019s biggest construction firms.
