South African Afropop Musician Winnie Khumalo Dies<\/strong><\/p>\n South African singer and actress Winnie Khumalo has died.<\/p>\n The Afro-pop musician passed away today at her home. She was 51 years old.<\/p>\n Also Read:\u00a0Winnie Khumalo\u2019s Daughter Rethabile In Horrific Car Crash<\/a><\/p>\n Winnie Khumalo\u2019s close friend, Sabelo Sithole, confirmed her death to the Sunday World<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n Sabelo Sithole revealed that he was contacted by Winnie Khumalo\u2019s daughter, Rethabile, who sounded distressed and asked him to rush to her mother\u2019s house. Upon arrival, Sithole discovered it was too late.<\/p>\n He expressed his heartbreak over her death.<\/p>\n \u201cI was contacted by Rethabile, and I could hear from her voice that she was not okay. She asked me to rush to her mother\u2019s house because Winnie was not moving. I rushed there and unfortunately it was too late. I am distraught and I have lost a friend,\u201d Sithole revealed.<\/em><\/p>\n Sabelo Sithole expressed that he knew Winnie Khumalo was not doing well, but he never imagined it would lead to her death.<\/p>\n \u201cI knew she was not fine, but I did not know she would come to this,\u201d he said<\/em><\/p>\n Winnie Khumalo was well known for her hit songs \u2018Live My Life<\/em>,\u2019 \u2018Muteuro,\u2019 \u2018Loluthando,\u2019 \u2018Uthando,\u2019<\/em> and \u2018Imithwalo.\u2019<\/em> Her sudden death has left Mzansi devastated.
