The members of Jane\u2019s Addiction<\/strong> seem to be making music together \u2013 but without frontman Perry Farrell.<\/p>\n

The LA rockers have always been \u2013 ahem \u2013 combustible, but a successful UK tour last year raised hopes that their potent elixir was being channelled in a positive way.<\/p>\n

Mere weeks after their packed out show at London venue the Roundhouse<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, however, Jane\u2019s Addiction came screeching to a halt. A concert in Boston came to a premature finish, when frontman Perry Farrell punched guitarist Dave Navarro.<\/p>\n

In a subsequent Instagram post, the guitarist seemed to intimate that the band had broken up<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, writing: \u00a0\u201cI\u2019m gutted that things ended this way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now eagle-eyed fans have noted that bassist Eric Avery, guitarist Dave Navarro, and drummer Stephen Perkins are recording new music\u2026 without Perry Farrell.<\/p>\n

Eric Avery posted a video on Instagram of him recording a bass part, writing: \u201cWriting some more new lines to some of Stephens drumming. Look forward to getting some Mr Navarro on them. 2025! @stephenperkinsdrummer @davenavarro.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stephen Perkins shared the clip, adding: \u201cLove that dark swing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The line-up recalls the trio\u2019s fondly remembered Deconstruction project. In fact, all three have reminisced about the sole album they made together in 1994 over the festive period. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving revisited it after all these years I believe this record contains some of my favorite recorded playing and interplay between E\u2019s bass and my guitar,\u201d wrote Dave Navarro. \u201cI am very happy this has been rereleased and is available for streaming.\u201d<\/p>\n
