2025 Golden Globes: Demi Moore Details Pitfalls of Aging in Hollywood<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Demi Moore<\/a><\/strong> is all substance at the 2025 Golden Globes<\/a>.<\/p>\n The actress delivered a moving monologue as she accepted the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture\u2014Musical or Comedy for her performance in the body horror film The Substance<\/em>, revealing she once thought her career in Hollywood had already peaked. \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThirty years ago, I had a producer tell me that I was a popcorn actress, and at that time, I made that mean that this wasn\u2019t something that I was allowed to have,\u201d Demi told the audience at the Beverly Hilton Jan. 5 as she held her award. \u201cThat I could do movies that were successful, that made a lot of money, but that couldn\u2019t be acknowledged. And I bought in, and I believed that.\u201d<\/p>\n She went shared that the moniker slowly \u201ccorroded\u201d her outlook on her career, leading her to wonder if she had \u201cdone what I was supposed to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n \u201cAs I was at a low point,\u201d she continued, \u201cI had this magical, bold, courageous, out of the box, absolutely bonkers script come across my 30, with ex Bruce Willis\u2014used her experience to encourage others not to discount their own paths.<\/p>\n \u201cIn those moments when we don\u2019t think we\u2019re smart enough, or pretty enough, or skinny enough, or successful enough, or basically just not enough,\u201d she went on, \u201cI had a woman say to me, \u2018Just know you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Demi said in conclusion, \u201cI celebrate this as a marker of my wholeness and of the love that is driving me and for the gift of
