Malian gaffer, Eric Chelle, will not lead the Super Eagles B team to the 8th African Nations Championship tournament, Soccernet.ng<\/a>\u00a0reports.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chelle\u2019s new appointment<\/a> have sparked many question on if Daniel Ogunmodede, and Fidelis Ilechukwu will lead the Nigerian home-based team to the tournament which will be held in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.<\/p>\n

It has been confirmed by the Nigeria Football Communications department that Ogunmodede, Ilechukwu, alongside Olatunji Baruwa, who qualified team for the CHAN tournament will maintain their position.<\/p>\n

However, the former Valenciennes CF defender will come in a Supervisory role, while the trio will mainly be in charge of the team at the tournament.<\/p>\n

In a new development, the new coach have jetted to Ikenne, alongside the Technical Director of the NFF, Augustine Eguavoen, where the lads have camped in preparation for the tournament.<\/p>\n

Stand-in Super Eagles coach, Ogunmodede, alongside his two other colleagues, played a key role in securing the ticket for the CHAN Eagles against the Black Galaxies of Ghana.<\/p>\n

In Accra, the Super Eagles home based team secured a toothless draw before playing host to the Ghanaian side in Uyo, where they secured a comfortable 3-1 victory to book their place at the upcoming tournament.<\/p>\n

With Ogunmodede, Ilechukwu, and Baruwa\u2019s familiarity with the team, it is expected that their cohesion will strengthen the squad\u2019s unity and boost their chances of success at CHAN.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
