\n\tAs the living subject of the next highly-anticipated musical biopic, Bruce Springsteen<\/a> is applauding his onscreen counterpart\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n \n\tAlthough he admitted it was \u201ca little [weird] at first\u201d seeing Jeremy Allen White<\/a> play him in writer\/director Scott Cooper<\/a>\u2018s Deliver Me from Nowhere<\/a><\/em>, \u2018The Boss\u2019 had nothing but praise for the 2x Golden Globe winner\u2019s portrayal.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cBut you get over that pretty quick,\u201d he said on SiriusXM\u2019s E Street Radio<\/a> of the weird on-set experience. \u201cAnd Jeremy is such a terrific actor that you just fall right into it. He\u2019s got an interpretation of me that I think the fans will deeply recognize. He\u2019s just done a great job, so I\u2019ve had a lot of fun being on the set when I can get there.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tSpringsteen also had positive reviews for White\u2019s singing voice. \u201cHe sings well, he sings very well,\u201d the 20x Grammy winner added. \u201cAnd Jeremy Strong and Odessa Young, there\u2019s just a tremendous cast of people. They cast the film beautifully, so it\u2019s very exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tWhite previously expressed his excitement<\/a> to Deadline about taking on the role as he arrived at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards in September. \u201cI\u2019m so excited to start this thing. We\u2019re going to start pretty soon\/ You know, I don\u2019t want to talk about it too much. So I feel really lucky.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBased on Warren Zanes\u2019 2023 book of the same name, Deliver Me from Nowhere<\/em> recounts the making of Springsteen\u2019s 1982 album Nebraska<\/em>, recorded on a four-track cassette from his New Jersey bedroom.
