With cameos from Zack Fox (who plays \u201cold dude from 2019\u201d as referenced in the hit record), Rickey Thompson (who plays his lover), Teezo Touchdown, ScHoolboy Q, Earl Sweatshirt, SiR, Baby Tate,\u00a0and\u00a0DJ Miss Milan, the video is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vibe.com\/music\/videos\/kendrick-lamar-squabble-up-video-1234954086\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1234954086\">comical and dynamic<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Doechii Slaps Brad Pitt  |  Denial Is A River Show\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rZFrEqEuQcM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\n\tIt starts out with Doechii coming home to prepare a meal for her man until she catches him with his lover and tosses him out the house like Jazz on <em>The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air<\/em>. The second verse welcomed a new look on set and for Doechii as she raps about getting signed and the chaos that came with her newfound fame. For the third verse, the \u201cglow-up\u201d is evident, but her world is still spiraling around her as she continues, \u201cMy grass is really green, and honestly\/ I can\u2019t even f**king cap no more, this is a really dark time for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe camera later pans to the audience before the pandemonium ensues in the background while the shot stays focused on her. The cinematography is truly brilliant, and overall, the visual rollout proves that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vibe.com\/music\/music-news\/doechii-says-debut-album-out-2025-1234957064\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1234957064\">the phenom<\/a> is exactly who she says she is.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tWhile fans were led to believe that the \u201cDenial Is A River\u201d video was set to be an actual show, she shared two additional skits: \u201cDoechii Slaps Brad Pitt\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vibe.com\/music\/music-news\/doechii-denial-is-a-river-rollout-dramatic-flip-1234964529\/\">LA ROSA DE DOECHII<\/a>.\u201d The latter was a telenovela. <\/p>\n<p>\n\tA third skit titled \u201cCan I Hit That\u201d was shared as a Comedy Central exclusive. <\/p>\n<figure>\n<div>\n<blockquote data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DEOEqH9yZzM\/?utm_source=ig_embed&#038;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\"><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>\n\t\u201cDENIAL IS A RIVER\u201d\u00a0stems from her Grammy-nominated mixtape,<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vibe.com\/lists\/best-hip-hop-albums-2024\/\">\u00a0Alligator Bites Never Heal<\/a><\/em>.
