The 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), scheduled to take place in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, is fast approaching, Soccernet.ng<\/a> reports.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Questions remain from the Nigerian football community about who will lead the Super Eagles B team into the competition.<\/p>\n

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) recently appointed Eric Chelle as the head coach of the Super Eagles. However, Chelle\u2019s appointment<\/a> has brought uncertainty about whether he will directly oversee the B team\u2019s CHAN campaign or delegate the responsibility to one of his assistants.<\/p>\n

Ogunmodede\u2019s Interim Success<\/h4>\n

Remo Stars manager, Daniel Ogunmodede, stood in for the Super Eagles B team during the qualifiers. He, alongside Enugu Rangers boss, Fidelis Ilechukwu, led the team to secure a 0-0 draw against Ghana in Accra before delivering a commanding 3-1 victory at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo to qualify Nigeria for CHAN 2024.<\/p>\n

Eric Chelle\u2019s First Challenge<\/h4>\n

According to a press release from the NFF Communications Department, the former Lens defender will be officially unveiled on Monday.<\/p>\n

His first assignment will be to lead the CHAN Eagles to the 2024 African Nations Championship, set to take place in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from 1 to 28 February, 2025.<\/p>\n
