Legendary kwaito musician and businessman, Doc Shebeleza, born Victor Bogopane, is appealing for donations as he faces financial strain following his recent hospitalization.<\/p>\n

The 51-year-old musician underwent a successful surgery on 2 December 2024<\/a>, but is now preparing for a second surgery scheduled for 2 February 2025.<\/p>\n

Music Upcoming Surgery Comes with a Hefty Price Tag<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Doc Shebeleza revealed in an interview with Daily Sun<\/em><\/a> that the upcoming surgery, which is expected to cost a staggering R350 000, has left him struggling financially.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve paid some of the money, but now I\u2019m short. I don\u2019t have enough. It\u2019s very difficult, private hospitals are extremely expensive,\u201d he shared.<\/em><\/p>\n

He also mentioned that he has already spent R20 000 on medication, which has added to the financial burden. Despite these challenges, the musician is recovering well from the first surgery but remains in urgent need of financial assistance.<\/p>\n

Doc Shebeleza expressed a heartfelt plea for assistance, emphasizing that after spending years helping others, it is now his turn to receive support.<\/p>\n

He made it clear that he wanted his request to come directly from him and not be misinterpreted through rumors. The kwaito legend showed deep gratitude for the love and support he has already received, acknowledging that the help of South Africans would mean a great deal to him during this challenging time.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need help. I\u2019ve spent years helping others and when someone is in need, they should be supported. I want people to hear this directly from me, not through rumours. I need help and I\u2019d truly appreciate the love and support from South Africans,\u201d he said.<\/em><\/p>\n
