The National Bitcoin Office (ONBTC) of El Salvador confirmed that the funds came from Bukele\u2019s personal wallet, and Fujiyama expressed deep gratitude for the generous contribution.<\/p>\n Fujiyama is currently undertaking a 3,000-kilometer charity run to raise funds for the school-building project. Additionally, just 1.3% of those surveyed believe Bitcoin should play a key role in the country\u2019s future.<\/p>\n However, despite the low adoption rate, 58% of respondents expressed confidence in the country\u2019s direction under Bukele\u2019s leadership, particularly in economic and security areas. The survey polled 1,224 Salvadorans aged 18 and older.<\/p>\n Since making Bitcoin legal tender in 2021, El Salvador has acquired nearly 6,000 BTC<\/a> through several purchases and different pro-crypto initiatives<\/a>.
