Senate President Godswill Akpabio<\/strong><\/a> has revealed that President Bola Tinubu<\/strong><\/a> appointed Nyesom Wike as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) due to his exceptional competence and track record.<\/p>\n

Akpabio noted that despite Wike being a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), President Tinubu<\/strong><\/a> was impressed by his achievements as Rivers State Governor.<\/p>\n

The Senate President made these remarks on Friday during a book launch held in Port Harcourt to celebrate Wike\u2019s 57th birthday.<\/p>\n

In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Jackson Udom, Akpabio highlighted Wike\u2019s remarkable impact on transforming Abuja within two years through extensive projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet me explain why President Tinubu included you in the Federal Executive Council, even as an opposition politician,\u201d<\/em> Akpabio said.<\/p>\n

Akpabio commended Wike for his dedicated service to the nation in various leadership roles, describing him as a purposeful leader committed to uplifting communities and driving development.<\/p>\n
