This bill focuses on utilizing monitoring software to track the computer activity of government employees and mandating agencies to provide reports on the potential negative effects of remote work.<\/p>\n<p>It will also provide key information on how to get D.C. back to work.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Musk, along with his toddler X, and Ramaswamy are on Capitol\u00a0Hill Thursday to meet with the lawmakers and get a plan in place heading into the next administration.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>DailyMail.com learned that Ernst will be pushing her new 60-page report outlining the most efficient ways for DOGE to root out abuse during their meeting.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She found that only 6 percent of federal workers report in-person on a full-time basis.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Musk entered the Capitol with his son ahead of meetings with lawmakers on Thursday<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Musk and Ramaswamy are on Capitol Hill Thursday to meet with the lawmakers and get a plan in place heading into the next administration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>DailyMail.com learned that Ernst will be pushing her new 60-page report outlining the most efficient ways for DOGE to root out abuse during their meeting<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Musk and Ramaswamy are on Capitol Hill Thursday to meet with the lawmakers and get a plan in place heading into the next administration<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The meetings come as Trump\u2019s former chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said he hopes that Musk and Ramaswamy can fix the government after he \u2018failed miserably.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Mulvaney said on\u00a0Piers Morgan Uncensored this week that he was in charge of government restructuring during Trump\u2019s first term.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But he \u2018failed miserably because everybody was against me,\u2019 he stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The House, the Senate, even most of the agencies. I remember the secretary of defense was against the things the president wanted me to do.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Mulvaney says he\u2019s hopeful Musk and Ramaswamy will be more successful in their pursuit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The new bill will ensure accountability of teleworking federal workers by requiring agencies to \u2018periodically review the network traffic generated by each such teleworking employee.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>It will collect the \u2018average number of logins made\u2019 by every employee and the average duration of their time spent on the computer network.<\/p>\n<p>It will also collect the\u00a0network traffic that workers generate.<\/p>\n<p>With the GOP taking the majority in the Senate after the election last month, Ernst\u2019s bill has a better chance of passing in the next Congress.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Ernst laid out 22 ways\u00a0Elon Musk\u00a0and Vivek Ramaswamy\u00a0can use their new agency DOGE to trim down the federal government.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Musk is on Capitol Hill Thursday for a series of meetings about DOGE<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>A source told DailyMail.com that Ernst and Vivek met last week to discuss her ideas to slash $1 trillion immediately.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She was also at Mar-a-Lago last Saturday meeting with Trump, Musk and Treasury pick Howard Lutnick, DailyMail.com reported first.<\/p>\n<p>They plan to \u2018work hand in hand on cutting down the bureaucracy and reining in tax dollar abuse,\u2019 the source familiar with their discussion said.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The senator said she met with Vivek to discuss how DOGE can be more effective<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Ernst was with Trump and Musk on Saturday at Mar-a-Lago\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The plan Ernst presented Vivek exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com lays out exactly how DOGE can quickly tackle the rising national debt by \u2018trimming the fat.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Her first proposal is to address the massive issue of over 7,000 unused federal buildings\u00a0wasting over $8 billion per year just in operations and leases.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That includes getting federal workers back into the office after empty offices have cost American taxpayers billions of dollars.<\/p>\n<p>According to a survey, 68 percent of 625,568 staff worked three or four days from home.<\/p>\n<div data-version=\"2\" id=\"mol-b3604a90-a8f9-11ef-b3a7-3d68bed7e1fc\" data-permabox-url=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-14161837\/first-major-doge-directive-elon-musk-vivek-ramaswamy-joni-ernst-teleworkers.html\">\n<h3>The 22 ways to cut back spending\u00a0<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p>1.
