The rally comes as Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (<a href=\"https:\/\/cryptonews.com.au\/category\/etf\/\">ETFs<\/a>) are seeing record-breaking inflows over the last trading week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>From 14 to 18 October alone, these funds have seen over US$2.1 billion (AU$3.1 billion) in combined inflows.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related:<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptonews.com.au\/news\/global-x-report-crypto-pushed-australian-etf-market-to-new-highs-124054\/\"><strong> <\/strong><strong>Global X Report: Crypto Pushed Australian ETF Market to New Highs<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The chart below shows the strong trading week, which stands out from past performance. IBIT added US$1.14 billion (AU$1.69 billion) to its holdings, more than half of all funds.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>IBIT now holds 386,614.8 Bitcoin, around a third of all US funds combined \u2013 which hold a collective 958,450 BTC. That means all funds together hold 4.56% of the total 21 million BTC, a massive US$66.3 billion (AU$98.65 billion) in assets under management (AUM).<\/p>\n<p>And while IBIT had the largest net inflows overall, Monday, 14 October, was the biggest day of the week for the funds as a group.<\/p>\n<p>That day, Fidelity\u2019s FBTC and Bitwise\u2019s BITB both outperformed IBIT, pushing the total daily net inflows to US$555.9 million (AU$827 million) \u2013 that\u2019s 8,300 Bitcoin!<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXflxchr-Nuq2_MJSBp_G0gysaj9i0dnACWjloQxTb-8Duk86xzhXxC44tKB6X13lZBTarxR01E-40m7fvpM9nnro4elAA22eZh8wnr2Wr0ADySgqsP9NFgxWUbCRFW-tSmHNDpyakY6QrnnvIxMsU_6nn_f?key=a07KzslMFPd0og1SyWcdVA\" alt data-eio=\"l\" data-old-src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\"><figcaption>Bitcoin ETF flows, source: farside.uk.co<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 id=\"h-it-took-bitcoin-ten-months-to-do-what-gold-did-in-5-years\">It Took Bitcoin Ten Months to Do What Gold Did in 5 Years<\/h2>\n<p>Interesting side note to all this: the launch of these funds is probably one of the most successful in ETF history, if not <em>the<\/em> most successful. Take Gold for example, which Bitcoin is often compared to.
