Sony is standing behind Blake Lively after she filed a sexual harassment complaint<\/a> against her \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d director and co-star, Justin Baldoni.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have previously expressed our support for Blake in connection with her work on and for the film,\u201d a Sony Pictures Entertainment spokesperson told TheWrap on Monday. \u201cWe fully and firmly reiterate that support today. Further, we strongly condemn any reputational attacks on her. Any such attacks have no place in our business or in a civil society.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sony\u2019s public message of support came after the actress filed a complaint<\/a> against Baldoni over the weekend, accusing him of using \u201csocial manipulation\u201d to launch a \u201csmear campaign\u201d against her. Jamey Heath, Steve Sarowitz, Melissa Nathan, Jennifer Abel, RWA Communications, Street Relations Inc. and Jed Wallace are also named.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,\u201d Lively told\u00a0The Times<\/a>\u00a0on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Baldoni denied any wrongdoing through his lawyer, Bryan Freedman, who responded, \u201cThese claims are completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt and rehash a narrative in the media.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the actor\u2019s publicist Abel discussed the drama in a\u00a0private Facebook group message<\/a>, writing, \u201cThere was no \u2018smear\u2019 implemented. No negative press was ever facilitated, no social combat plan, although we were prepared for it as it\u2019s our job to be ready for any scenario, but we didn\u2019t have to implement anything because the Internet was doing the work for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also on Monday, Lively received support from fellow actress Amber Heard, Baldoni\u2019s \u201cMan Enough\u201d co-host Liz Plank exited the program, and global women\u2019s non-profit Vital Voices rescinded his previous award<\/a> for championing women and girls, all stemming from the filing.<\/p>\n
