The management of Ghanaian musician Fameye has responded to a viral video that captures the artiste lambasting a DJ for not playing the right songs while he was performing.<\/strong><\/p>\nThe video has generated a lot of conversations on various platforms in the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n
While some have lashed out at Fameye for his comments while on stage, others have also blamed the organisers for not allowing Fameye to go along with his personal DJ.<\/p>\n
In their statement, however, Fameye\u2019s management describes what happened as \u201cunprofessional.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile we understand that technical issues and miscommunications can arise in live performances, the level of unprofessionalism displayed was disappointing and disrespectful to both Fameye and his loyal fans. This incident disrupted the flow of what should have been a memorable experience for everyone in attendance,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n
They indicate that they made numerous attempts to bring either Fameye\u2019s official DJ from Ghana or Belgium to ensure a memorable performance for his fans. Unfortunately, they could not reach an agreement with the organisers, as they insisted on using a DJ they had already book for his session.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis approach does not align with the standard practices of the Fameye brand. However, out of respect for the fans, we chose to work with the arrangements provided. Sadly this decision has come at a great cost, as it impacted Fameye\u2019s ability to deliver the outstanding performance we had promised his fans,\u201d they noted.<\/p>\n
They have therefore urged event organisers and their teams to uphold the highest standards of professionalism to ensure that every artiste and fan is treated with respect and dignity.<\/p>\n
