ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) – Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a break-in at the home of Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow Monday night while he was in Dallas for Monday Night Football, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman confirmed.<\/p>\n
The deputies responded to the Anderson Township house some time after 8 p.m. , sheriff’s office spokeswoman Kyla Woods said. She said the scene was still active and detectives were still interviewing witnesses Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
A woman called 911 to say her daughter was in the home at the time. She gave Burrow\u2019s address and said \u201cthis is Joe Burrow\u2019s house.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s at the football game. She\u2019s wondering what she should do. Should she be hiding or should she be going outside.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cShe said someone was in the house.”<\/p>\n
A woman called from Burrow\u2019s home saying \u201csomeone broke into my house.\u201d A man can be heard in background, and gives his name and is verified by 911 operator as an off-duty Hamilton County special deputy providing security detail.<\/p>\n
She later tells the deputy and 911 operator \u201cthe whole entire bedroom is\u201d a mess and asks for more officers to come.<\/p>\n
Burrow led the Bengals to a 27-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys Monday.<\/p>\n
The incident comes as the NFL and other sports leagues have put their star players on alert for possible break-ins and burglaries following thefts at the homes of Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n
The break-in happened the day before Burrow’s 28th birthday. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
