Isn\u2019t it satisfying to cross something off your list?<\/em><\/p>\n \n\tWhile you\u2019re spending time with family this holiday weekend, let Billboard Family<\/em> catch you up on what\u2019s happening in family entertainment before it\u2019s time to get back to school and work.<\/p>\n \n\tWicked<\/em> is on the big screen for a second weekend, and this week movie theaters welcomed Moana 2<\/em> to the lineup. The sequel to the 2016 Walt Disney Animation film leads the domestic box office (more on that below). When you combine the power of family hits Wicked<\/em> (Universal) and Moana 2<\/em> (Disney), plus action picture Gladiator II<\/em> (Paramount), you get a commercial phenomenon at the box office: The Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/em> says revenue over the long Thanksgiving weekend is set to break records, coming in at more than $425 million. Our recommendation for families is to check out Wicked<\/em>, if you haven\u2019t yet, and then Moana 2<\/em>, so you can join in on the conversation about one or both in class or at the office.<\/p>\n \n\tIn new music releases you and your kids might be interested in, Taylor Swift<\/a>\u2018s The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology<\/em> is finally out on vinyl. The set includes all 31 songs from the collection, plus four acoustic bonus tracks, and was made available exclusively at Target \u2014 at least in the U.S, where the retailer is also the one place you can find an exclusive CD version of the Anthology<\/em> release, as well as Swift\u2019s new The Eras Tour Book<\/em>. I went out on Black Friday in search of all of the above for my family and came out successful, though I had to visit two Target locations to complete the mission.<\/p>\n \n\tComing up on TV is the Monday, Dec. 2 premiere of Stars Wars: Skeleton Crew<\/em> on Disney+, which is a coming-of-age series tween Star Wars<\/em> fans should particularly enjoy. (Like my middle schooler, who said, or maybe scoffed, \u201cOf course I\u2019m watching it!\u201d when I asked.) <\/p>\n \n\tFind out more about this week\u2019s top picks in the Billboard Family Hits of the Week:<\/p>\n \n\tMoana 2<\/em>, the sequel to Disney\u2019s first Moana<\/em> film, reunites the familiar voices of Auli\u2019i Cravalho\u00a0and\u00a0Dwayne Johnson in the roles of Moana and Maui. The story follows Moana, who\u2019s received a call from her ancestors, as she goes on an unexpected adventure in long-lost waters, and has a soundtrack featuring new songs like \u201cBeyond\u201d and \u201cCan I Get a Chee Hoo?\u201d Watch the Moana 2<\/em> trailer above.<\/p>\n \n\tAs THR<\/a><\/em> reports, Moana 2<\/em> is already soaring high with its Thanksgiving weekend box office opening. The animated musical\u2019s five-day debut is projected to surpass $215 million, which means it\u2019ll top the previous record set by The Super Mario Bros. Movie<\/em>\u00a0($204.6 million). The Disney animated film, directed by David Derrick Jr., Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller, will also become the greatest Thanksgiving opener and earner of all time, coming in ahead of both\u00a0Frozen<\/em>\u00a0($93.6 million) and\u00a0Frozen II<\/em>\u00a0($125 million).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \n\tWhat you see above is a Target floor display of Taylor Swift\u2019s new exclusive items that were available only in-store on Black Friday: The Eras Tour Book<\/em>, a Target edition of The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology<\/em> on CD with four acoustic bonus tracks, and an exclusive vinyl version of the album, also with the same bonus tracks (those are \u201cFortnight,\u201d \u201cDown Bad,\u201d \u201cBut Daddy I Love Him\u201d and \u201cGuilty as Sin?\u201d). You might notice that there are no physical copies of The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology<\/em> on vinyl in this picture. Why? Well, those sold out quickly at many Target locations.<\/p>\n \n\tAll three items also just became available to order online in the U.S. today. At press time, Target\u2019s website<\/a> has the book and CD in stock, but appears to be sold out of the The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology<\/em> vinyl \u2014 probably because it was a much-anticipated collector\u2019s item.<\/p>\n \n\tSo, what can you do if you missed out, and you were hoping to add this to your family\u2019s vinyl collection? Here\u2019s how to track it down: First, sign up on the product page on Target\u2019s website<\/a> to be notified if it comes back in stock. Then try calling your local Target stores to find out if any copies are still in-store. While the first Target location I went to had none in stock, my second try worked out. For the U.S. there\u2019s been no official announcement about a restock, or when the Anthology<\/em> vinyl might become available through other retailers. However, international fans should be able to find the vinyl release on their country\u2019s version of Swift\u2019s webstore, as the vinyl is not exclusive to Target outside of America.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n \n\tAbove is the official trailer for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew<\/em>, which Disney describes as \u201cthe journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home \u2014 and meeting unlikely allies and enemies \u2014 will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tStar Wars: Skeleton Crew<\/em> stars Jude Law as a mysterious Force user named Jod Na Nawood. He\u2019s joined by cast members Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon and Nick Frost.<\/p>\n \n\tOver Thanksgiving break, a preview clip from the series was also released.
