In a video shared on Twitter<\/a>, Carlson made a series of vague comments about the quality of debate in the news media, but made no direct mention of his exit from Fox or what caused it.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Talking about stepping \u201coutside the noise for a few days,\u201d the former primetime host said he noticed how \u201cunbelievably stupid most of the debates you see on television are.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Outlining what he believes are the big issues of the day, like \u201cwar, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power, natural resources,\u201d Carlson alleged that debates on these issues are not permitted.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Carlson then said both political parties have \u201creached a consensus on what benefits them\u201d and now they \u201cactively collude\u201d to shut down conversations.<\/p>\n

Carlson ended his remarks by saying there are only some places left where \u201cyou still find Americans saying true things,\u201d and told his viewers he would see them soon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
