\nA new anime movie by the Ongaku<\/i><\/a> (On-Gaku: Our Sound<\/i>) director Kenji Iwaisawa<\/a> titled Hina is Beautiful<\/i> is in production, according to a report by entertainment news outlet Variety on Friday. The movie will use 2D animation and rotoscoping.<\/p>\n \nIwaisawa is directing the movie and Takamasa Ooe<\/a> (Drive My Car<\/i>) is penning the script. Naoyuki Asano<\/a> (Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na!<\/i>, Urusei Yatsura<\/i> (2022)) is credited as the animation director and character designer. Hina is Beautiful<\/i> will screen as a part of the Annecy Animation Showcase at this year’s Cannes\u2019 March\u00e9 du Film on May 21.<\/p>\n \nIwaisawa’s Ongaku<\/i> anime movie, adapting Hiroyuki Oohashi<\/a>‘s slice of life music manga<\/a>, premiered in Japan in January 2020 after a seven-year production<\/a>.
