LONDON\u2014Faisal Shaukat, who runs an events management company, attended Shen Yun Performing Arts at\u00a0Eventim Apollo on the evening of April 20.<\/p>\n

This was the second time he had seen Shen Yun.\u00a0\u201cEvery time I watch the show, it\u2019s better, and bigger, and more beautiful than the previous one,\u201d Shaukat said.\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019m always happy, and it\u2019s really a joy to be part of such a performance.\u201d<\/p>\n

He gave his overall impression. \u201cIt\u2019s definitely positive. I personally believe that the whole idea of the show is to revive the roots, the true culture of China,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd everybody knows that this show is banned in China for various reasons. I really salute the production team, and everyone who are behind it, who has this courage to just try and give this new generation, the actual feeling of how the culture was. It\u2019s always good to stay connected with the roots and revive that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Shaukat said he liked the beautiful culture presented. \u201cIt\u2019s beautiful. Shen Yun is like the beauty of the divine, so it\u2019s really beautiful. Obviously, you can\u2019t describe the divine itself, but the way it\u2019s being portrayed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so amazed with the visuals that complement the whole performance. And it\u2019s interesting that the visuals have some sort of virtual effect,\u201d Shaukat said. \u201cSo you combine the real performances and they merge with the visual, which is something really interesting and very nice. It is very unique. It\u2019s something like a cinematic experience; it\u2019s very immersive cinema, you know, you become part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shaukat was most impressed with the costumes. \u201cBeautiful costumes in a performance. I love the colorful costumes. It\u2019s so amazing. It\u2019s so beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Based in New York,\u00a0Shen Yun<\/a>\u00a0was founded in 2006 by leading Chinese artists and quickly became the world\u2019s premier classical Chinese dance and music company. Shen Yun\u2019s\u00a0mission<\/a>\u00a0is to revive traditional Chinese culture.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes. I think no matter where you live, which part of the world you live in, or which religion you believe in, what is natural to you, and whomever you believe in, that\u2019s divine power. There is a source for that. So it could be anything, it could be anyone, but when you have that, that\u2019s where you get the peace from,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He had praise and gratitude for the performers. \u201cCongratulations, because they\u2019ve been traveling a lot, I know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shaukat said he follows Shen Yun on social media. \u201cI understand that it\u2019s not easy to manage and cope. Sometimes they do two shows a day, and that\u2019s really something to ask, and hats off to them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCongratulations, well done. I look forward to seeing the next performance either at the end of this year or the next year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
