{"id":630599,"date":"2023-04-17T11:18:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-17T16:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.sellorbuyhomefast.com\/index.php\/2023\/04\/17\/hear-joe-satriani-tap-into-his-emotive-prowess-and-serve-up-soaring-solos-in-epic-orchestral-track-all-things-sacred\/"},"modified":"2023-04-17T11:18:00","modified_gmt":"2023-04-17T16:18:00","slug":"hear-joe-satriani-tap-into-his-emotive-prowess-and-serve-up-soaring-solos-in-epic-orchestral-track-all-things-sacred","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2023\/04\/17\/hear-joe-satriani-tap-into-his-emotive-prowess-and-serve-up-soaring-solos-in-epic-orchestral-track-all-things-sacred\/","title":{"rendered":"Hear Joe Satriani tap into his emotive prowess and serve up soaring solos in epic orchestral track, All Things Sacred"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"article-body\">\n<p>Composer Kitt Wakeley is no stranger to guitar-heavy collaborations, having assembled a discography scattered with cameos from some of the biggest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guitarworld.com\/features\/best-electric-guitars\" data-original-url=\"https:\/\/www.guitarworld.com\/gear\/best-electric-guitars\">electric guitar<\/a> names in the business.<\/p>\n<p>His recently released effort, <em>Symphony of Sinners &#038; Saints Vol.II: The Storm<\/em>, is a perfect example, sprinkled with special guest slots from Nuno Bettencourt \u2013 who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guitarworld.com\/news\/nuno-bettencourt-kitt-wakeley-paganinis-storm\">unleashed his inner Yngwie Malmsteen on <em>Paganini\u2019s Storm<\/em><\/a> \u2013 and Orianthi, who leant her guitar work to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guitarworld.com\/news\/orianthi-stairway-to-heaven-orchestral-cover\">an orchestral cover of<em> Stairway to Heaven<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the album\u2019s latest single sees Wakeley tap his longtime collaborator Joe Satriani for yet another majestic display of electrifying fretboard wizardry-meets-cinematic orchestral arrangement.<\/p>\n<p>Following the pair\u2019s two 2021 tracks \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guitarworld.com\/news\/joe-satriani-kitt-wakeley-forgive-me\"><em>Forgive Me<\/em><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guitarworld.com\/news\/hear-joe-satriani-shred-over-an-orchestra-as-he-joins-forces-with-composer-kitt-wakeley\"><em>Conflicted<\/em><\/a>, both from the first <em>Symphony of Sinners &#038; Saints<\/em> record \u2013<em> All Things Sacred<\/em> sees Satriani lean into his emotionally melodic prowess, as he navigates six minutes of hair-rising piano progressions and swelling strings with a suite of decorative contributions.<\/p>\n<p>An introductory effort of pentatonic-based motifs is followed by a buffet of punchy rhythms, before a return to the upper end of the fretboard finds Satch up the ante with mesmerizing hammer-on and pull-off licks.<\/p>\n<div data-nosnippet>\n<p><iframe data-lazy-priority=\"high\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IGrfvdB3N7w\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The pair are also joined by drummer Kenny Aronoff, whose pumping drumlines help Satch and Wakeley build momentum towards the dazzling finale.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKitt\u2019s unique alchemy is his ability to create modern, rocking orchestral music that stirs the soul and inspires the heart,\u201d Satriani said. \u201c<em>Symphony of Sinners &#038; Saints Vol II: The Storm<\/em> is a crazy guitarist collaboration in disguise, too. I\u2019m honored to be in such good company.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Of Satch\u2019s contribution, Wakeley said, \u201cOnce again, I\u2019m blessed to have such an amazing talent on my project. We all know what an incredible guitar player Satriani is, but he\u2019s also a genius at creating melodic riffs throughout the song. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis creativity brings my music to a whole other level and adds a dimension that garners a whole other segment of listeners. The magic of Satriani with the London Symphony is off-the-charts great.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Satriani joins a star-studded list of six-string heroes found on <em>Symphony of Sinners &#038; Saints Vol.II<\/em>, which features three appearances from Nuno Bettencourt, two from Nita Strauss and one from Orianthi.
