The integration started appearing on Wednesday and allows SwiftKey Beta users to quickly access Microsoft\u2019s Bing chatbot at the tap of a button in any app.<\/p>\n<p>The Bing Chat integration inside SwiftKey includes the usual chat mode that offers access to the chatbot, or a tone mode that will rewrite any text right within the keyboard. If you were only using the Bing mobile app to access the chatbot, this new integration makes that app rather redundant if, instead, you\u2019re willing to install and use SwiftKey everywhere.<\/p>\n<p>To access this new Bing Chat integration you\u2019ll need to download the . Pedram Rezaei, Microsoft\u2019s CTO of mobile and commerce, confirmed on Twitter that the feature is \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pedram_re\/status\/1643816158309797890\">slowly rolling out<\/a>,\u201d but there\u2019s no word on when SwiftKey iOS users will be able to try it out.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft discontinued support for SwiftKey on iOS last year, before quickly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/11\/18\/23467204\/swiftkey-ios-iphone-app-store-return-back-microsoft\">returning the app to the App Store<\/a>. At the time Rezaei said Microsoft <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pedram_re\/status\/1593652256926142465\">will be<\/a> \u201cinvesting heavily in the keyboard,\u201d just as the company was preparing to publicly launch an AI-powered version of Bing.<\/p>\n<p>While the iOS version of SwiftKey hasn\u2019t been updated regularly, Microsoft\u2019s AI push will likely see this Bing integration appear on the iPhone keyboard side soon. Microsoft might also be responding to competition from a number of AI-powered keyboards on iOS that include ChatGPT integration. <a href=\"https:\/\/paragraphai.com\/\">Paragraph AI<\/a> includes an interface that lets you generate text everywhere and is already rising in popularity on iOS.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft originally <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2016\/2\/3\/10903476\/microsoft-swiftkey-acquisition-keyboard-artificial-intelligence\">acquired SwiftKey in 2016<\/a>, after the third-party keyboard soared in popularity on Android and iOS.
