\n\tKelly Clarkson<\/a> said<\/span> she is dropping a new album soon and music from it even sooner. The singer and daytime show host shared details about the LP, which is called Chemistry<\/em>, on Sunday via Instagram.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn her post, she said that it has been three years in the making, and that she wasn\u2019t sure if she was going to release it initially. She explained the reasoning behind the title of the album, and that it may also be the name of a song that will appear on it.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI was trying to find a word that really described the whole thing \u2018cause I didn\u2019t want everybody to think I was just coming out with some just like, \u2018I\u2019m angry, I\u2019m sad\u2019 \u2014 like just one or two emotions, you know? This album is definitely the arc of an entire relationship, and a whole relationship shouldn\u2019t be just brought down to one thing. So there\u2019s the good, the bad, and the ugly kind of thing going on in it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlong with it featuring the range of emotions experienced during the course of a relationship, Clarkson discussed the dichotomous meaning behind the album\u2019s name. \u201cChemistry can be a really amazing, sexy, cool, fun thing, but it can also be very bad for you. So, that\u2019s why I named it Chemistry<\/em>. I thought it was kind of the perfect title to describe the entire album.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe concluded by teasing that both the album and music from it is arriving soon. \u201cWhen I say soon, I mean really soon,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe album, which she previously said would grapple with the fallout from her divorce from her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, follows her 2017 studio LP, Meaning of Life<\/em>.<\/p>\n

She recently teamed up with Zachary Levi for a duet of Frank and Nancy Sinatra\u2019s \u201cSomething Stupid<\/a>.\u201d In recent weeks, she\u2019s also performed songs from a diverse range of artists, including Muna (\u201cStayaway<\/a>\u201d), Death Cab for Cutie (\u201cYou Are a Tourist<\/a>\u201c), Billy Joel (\u201cMy Life<\/a>\u201c), and N.E.R.D.\u2019s \u201cShe Wants to Move.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
