Taxstone, real name Daryl Campbell, was convicted of manslaughter for the shooting of\u00a0 Troy Ave\u2019s friend and bodyguard,\u00a0 Ronald \u201cBanga\u201d McPhatter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The New York rapper is also guilty of injuring three other people at Irving Plaza in 2016.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Taxstone will be sentenced on April 19.<\/p>\n

The former podcaster was found guilty on two other charges, including two counts of first-degree assault and assault in the second degree. He was also charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, according to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.<\/p>\n

Troy Ave To Testify At Taxstone Murder Trial 6 Years Since Slaying Of Bodyguard At T.I. Concert<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n

Taxstone\u2019s<\/strong> murder trial is underway. He is accused of killing Troy Ave\u2019s<\/strong> bodyguard, Ronald \u201cBanga\u201d McPhatter, at Irving Plaza<\/strong> amid the crossfire of his beef with Troy. Taxstone already pleaded guilty to gun possession, with sentencing expected to be decided after the trial.<\/p>\n

The Trial Underway<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n

Former rapper-turned-television and Twitter personality, Taxstone is facing a six-year-old murder trial. Troy Ave, who, at the time of Banga\u2019s death, was beefing with Taxstone, has cooperated to testify.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Things got heated at a T.I.<\/strong> concert when the beefing rappers encountered each other at Irving Plaza<\/strong> in New York City in May 2016. Troy also had a history of beefing with fellow Brooklyn rapper Casanova<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Troy Ave\u2019s bodyguard, Ronald \u201cBanga\u201d McPhatter, was killed after shots were fired during the concert. According to Troy, there were other rappers and prominent industry insiders at the T.I. concert. Still, none helped him tend to Banga.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really picked up my man body ni**a.,\u201d he said to Math Hoffa<\/strong> in an interview with My Expert Opinion<\/em>. \u201cLike, I picked him up. all these ni**a\u2019s that was there, Maino was there, any ni**a there, they didn\u2019t help me pick up banga\u2019s body, they walked past.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In total, the state has two cooperating witnesses, Troy Ave and Malcolm Kinyon.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kinyon is also charged with his connection to murder and weapon possession. He has also signed a cooperation agreement with the Manhattan District Attorney\u2019s office. Kinyon is also facing drug and firearm trafficking charges.<\/p>\n

Taxstone has already pleaded guilty to gun possession and will be sentenced. However, the sentencing date has not been announced yet.<\/p>\n

Banga\u2019s Family Blames Troy Ave<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n

The sister of the late bodyguard known to hip-hop as Banga has been quite vocal about her distaste of Troy Ave. Jamie Models has spoken<\/a> out on behalf of her late brother and family, who have blamed Troy for Banga\u2019s death in 2016.<\/p>\n
