\n\tKiller Mike<\/a> is gearing up for the release of his next solo album titled Michael<\/em>. The LP will feature Lil Wayne<\/a>, Andr\u00e9 3000<\/a>, Dave Chappelle<\/a>, and more.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 47-year-old held a private listening last week during SXSW<\/a> in Austin, Texas. The Run The Jewels<\/a> rapper gathered an intimate audience inside a cathedral and previewed the album, which is said to be very personal, as it chronicles his life. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYesterday I got the chance to sit and listen to @killermike new solo project \u2018Michael\u2019,\u201d Milwaukee radio host DJ Kenny Perez said in an Instagram post documenting his experience. \u201cWithout a doubt, RUN and embrace it when it drops.\u201d He revealed some of the features and said that Killer Mike \u201cdoesn\u2019t hold back.\u201d A video included in the post indicates that 6lack<\/a> will also appear on the album.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Atlanta rapper performed a few tracks from Michael<\/em> during SPIN\u2019<\/em>s SXSW showcase. The two tracks are reportedly named \u201cShed Tears\u201d and \u201cHigh + Holy,\u201d the latter being a tribute to his wife who \u201che says encourages him to always search for a higher purpose (while also passing him back the joint).\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMy life truly is a testimony for what happens when you show up and keep believing something is calling you to do better for yourself,\u201d Mike told the crowd during his performance. \u201cI don\u2019t know what\u2019s after this life, but I will treasure this night for the rest of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMichael<\/em> will be Killer Mike\u2019s first solo album since 2012\u2019s R.A.P Music<\/a><\/em>. Last year, he shared \u201cRUN\u201d which featured Dave Chappelle and Young Thug<\/a>, plus \u201cTALK\u2019N THAT SH*T.\u201d It is unclear whether these will appear on Michael<\/em>, but given the currently known features, the excitement is high regardless. <\/p>\n
