The artist confirmed the new work \u2013 \u201cMorning is Broken \u2013 on his Instagram this morning.<\/p>\n

But it was too late for fans to make a pilgrimage because demolition workers had moved in the day before.<\/p>\n

The work was on the side of an old farmhouse at Blacksole Farm in Herne Bay, Kent where developer Kitewood is planning to build 15 new homes.<\/p>\n

One site source told KentOnline<\/em>: \u201cWe had no idea it was a Banksy.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt made me feel sick realising it was a Banksy \u2013 we were gutted.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe started demolishing it yesterday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe landowner watched us do it and didn\u2019t know either.\u201d<\/p>\n
