Bechtel declined to provide the cost of the project.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>Bechtel will provide engineering, procurement and construction services for the new charging stations, per the release, and the two companies plan to partner on future projects.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>The project is a stepping stone in First Student\u2019s plans to electrify 30,000 vehicles in its fleet by 2035, according to the release. There is <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.utilitydive.com\/news\/federal-incentives-ev-battery-production-report\/643370\/\"><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>increasing demand for EV batteries and infrastructure<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span><span><span><span><span><span> throughout the U.S. and projects across the EV spectrum are <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.utilitydive.com\/news\/ultium-cells-doe-loan-for-its-three-facilities\/638731\/\"><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>receiving billions in federal funding<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span><span><span><span><span><span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>Bechtel considers the burgeoning field of EV infrastructure and electrification to be a \u201cvery high priority,\u201d Catherine Hunt Ryan, president of the company\u2019s manufacturing and technology business, told Construction Dive in an interview. \u201cWe are focused on projects across the entire battery value chain. It\u2019s the full package.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>Bechtel provides a range of services in the electrification market, according to the release, including feasibility studies, site selection, front-end engineering design, procurement services, construction management and project management.
