{"id":618413,"date":"2023-03-15T08:20:00","date_gmt":"2023-03-15T13:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.sellorbuyhomefast.com\/index.php\/2023\/03\/15\/worlds-best-equipment-operator-cat-names-global-challenge-winner\/"},"modified":"2023-03-15T08:20:00","modified_gmt":"2023-03-15T13:20:00","slug":"worlds-best-equipment-operator-cat-names-global-challenge-winner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2023\/03\/15\/worlds-best-equipment-operator-cat-names-global-challenge-winner\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;World\u2019s Best Equipment Operator&#8221;: Cat Names Global Challenge Winner"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"content-body-15352633\">\n<p>The world\u2019s best equipment operator has been selected out of  nine finalists who competed this week at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.equipmentworld.com\/conexpo-conagg-2023\">ConExpo<\/a> in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.equipmentworld.com\/conexpo-conagg-2023\/article\/15352340\/finalists-named-in-cats-global-operator-challenge-at-conexpo\">Caterpillar\u2019s Global  Operator Challenge<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And the winner is Patrick Doheny of Australia. Doheny  achieved the overall total best time in three challenges: wheel loader, backhoe  and excavator.<\/p>\n<p>Matt Ferris, a senior superintendent at Kincaid Civil  Construction in San Tan Valley, Arizona, came in second place, followed by \u0141ukasz  Mokrzy\u0144ski of Poland who came in third place.<\/p>\n<p>Caterpillar also named winners of each individual  competition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Doheny won the wheel loader challenge.<\/li>\n<li>John Scheideck, owner and CEO of Scheideck Construction Inc.  in Bastrop, Texas, won the backhoe challenge.<\/li>\n<li>Mokrzy\u0144ski won the excavator challenge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Americas team of Ferris, Scheideck and Fernando Do  Nascimento of Brazil won the team competition against Europe and Asia Pacific.<\/p>\n<p>The other finalists were: Pontus Ericksson, Sweden; Sebastian  Behr, Germany (third-place finisher in 2020), Masato Imai, Japan; and Nick  Thompson, Australia.<\/p>\n<p>To advance to the final round of competition, the finalists executed  a range of tasks using a variety of Cat equipment technology. Competitions have  included digging trenches to targeted depths, hitting target material loads and  hauling or maneuvering the equipment through a variety of obstacles.<\/p>\n<p>The finals were held March 14 at Cat\u2019s booth at ConExpo,  where competitors completed a day of challenges.
