Huawei’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the P60 Pro, has been captured in a new leak that purports to include an in-display selfie camera like that of the Dynamic Island of the latest iPhone Pro models. Should that be the case, the new feature could join up-to-date flat edges, some colorful side buttons and a unique camera hump in the upcoming premium-tier device.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Huawei has finally confirmed that it will bring its P series<\/a> of high-end smartphones up to 60<\/a> later in March 2023<\/a>. The OEM is currently touting<\/a> these devices as handsets capable of truly “professional photography<\/i>” and has, to this end, picked their large rear-mounted XMAGE<\/a> branding out in red – according to their latest leak, that is.\n<\/p>\n

The schematic in question also depicts the ‘P60 Pro’ as having upgraded to flat edges<\/a> that house buttons in a matching color – and a large display that has a Dynamic Island<\/a> look to it. Its long in-display pill is mounted along the screen’s top edge, like those of the iPhone 14 Pro<\/a> and Pro Max<\/a>, and seems to be made up of 2 different modules.\n<\/p>\n

Then again, the tipster presenting this new image (Wangzai Knows Everything<\/a>) walks it back somewhat in the text of a Weibo post hinting that Huawei<\/a> has yet to commit to a switch to this “Smart Island<\/i>” screen, and that some prototypes still have singular<\/a> punch-holes. <\/p>\n

Then again, the elaborate camera humps<\/a> from earlier P60<\/a> leaks remains right in place in this new image, depicted as adding quite some girth to the alleged Pro variant.\n<\/p>\n
