Kier, Morgan Sindall and Lendlease are among the big winners on a \u00a32.5bn construction framework announced by the Ministry of Justice.<\/span><\/p>\n

The five-year framework covers new builds, refurbishment, maintenance and minor works across three value lots.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the national lot \u2013 projects worth \u00a310m to \u00a330m, with a total value of \u00a3625m \u2013 eight companies were selected, with Wates, ISG, Bowmer and Kirkland, Galliford Try and Henry Brothers joining Kier, Morgan Sindall and Lendlease on the list.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regional lots of projects worth between \u00a35m and \u00a310m, with a total value of \u00a3750m, were also announced.<\/span><\/p>\n

ISG, Bowmer and Kirkland, Vinci, Henry Brothers and Henry Boot scooped the North England lot, which is worth \u00a3240m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Work in South England, worth \u00a3195m, went to Morgan Sindall, Vinci, EW Beard, Wates and Galliford Try.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Wales and Central England, Wates, ISG, Bowmer and Kirkland, Henry Brothers and Henry Boot won work to the value of \u00a3203m.<\/span><\/p>\n

Morgan Sindall, Willmott Dixon Interiors, Wates, Bowmer and Kirkland and Galliford Try were all selected for work worth \u00a3113m in London and East England.<\/span><\/p>\n

For smaller regional projects \u2013 up to \u00a35m, with an expected total value of \u00a31.12bn \u2013 Wates was chosen for North England, Kier for South England, ISG for Wales and Central England, and Galliford Try for London and East England.<\/span><\/p>\n

The value of the framework could potentially be increased by \u00a31bn if work is extended for a further two years.<\/span><\/p>\n

The department<\/span> started looking for contractors<\/span><\/a> for the framework at the end of 2021, with interested companies invited to tender early last year. A total of 68 bids were received.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Galliford Try was<\/span> handed a \u00a395m prison-expansion job<\/span><\/a> in Warwickshire by the department, following the confirmation that Kier was to<\/span> build a new \u00a3400m prison<\/span><\/a> in Yorkshire.<\/span><\/p>\n

Construction News<\/span><\/i> revealed last summer that Lendlease was the contractor with which the Ministry of Justice had spent most money<\/span><\/a> in the previous financial year.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
