Microsoft originally announced the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2021\/11\/2\/22758974\/microsoft-teams-metaverse-mesh-3d-avatars-meetings-features\">avatars feature in 2021<\/a> and has been testing it privately in recent months. <\/p>\n<p>Avatars in Microsoft Teams are designed to let people avoid appearing on camera during meetings.
