Just this week, Microsoft announced the June 11th date for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/3\/8\/23500202\/starfield-release-date-xbox-bethesda\">its annual Xbox showcase<\/a> and a dedicated <em>Starfield<\/em> show, but we still didn\u2019t know if Xbox would actually be on the floor of this year\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/23372876\/e3-2023-dates-june-business-gamer-days-industry\">in-person E3 convention<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t wait to host our Xbox Games Showcase on June 11th and will share more details later,\u201d an Xbox spokesperson said in a statement to <em>IGN<\/em>. \u201cWe also look forward to co-streaming our event as part of E3 Digital and will not be on the E3 show floor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In February, Nintendo confirmed that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/2\/24\/23613605\/nintendo-e3-not-attending-show-2023\">it wouldn\u2019t be a part of E3<\/a>, which now means that both Nintendo and Microsoft won\u2019t have booths at the convention itself. Don\u2019t get your hopes up for Sony being there: the company skipped E3 in 2019 and hasn\u2019t been back since, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/xbox-nintendo-sony-skipping-e3-2023?utm_source=twitter\"><em>IGN<\/em> reported in January<\/a> that Sony would be passing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/1\/30\/23578780\/e3-2023-microsoft-xbox-sony-playstation-nintendo-attend\">on 2023 as well<\/a>. Sony didn\u2019t immediately reply to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, ReedPop owner Reed Exhibitions US said that news about exhibitors is forthcoming. \u201cAlongside the upcoming announcements from other AAA companies regarding their own participation, we look forward to sharing more of the publishers that will be part of our digital showcase series and exhibiting on the show floor in the lead up to the return of E3,\u201d Kyle Marsden-Kish, the global VP of gaming at Reed Exhibitions US, said.<\/p>\n<p>The E3 convention is set for June 13th to the 16th, with the E3 \u201cDigital Week\u201d kicking off on June 11th with Microsoft\u2019s Xbox show.
