An upgrade on Apple’s latest take on the all-in-one (AIO) PC, the markedly light, thin and colorful iMac (2021), is one of the most hotly-awaited new releases from the Cupertino behemoth – according to Bloomberg’s tech contributor Mark Gurman, at least. Now, there are signs that this updated desktop will make it to the market by the end of 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Apple proudly announced<\/a> that “you’ve never seen a computer like this before<\/i>” in the form of the latest iMac<\/a>, the first of its kind to launch with the M1<\/a> processor in 2021. Nevertheless, you may be liable to see it again, and possibly in a matter of months too.\n<\/p>\n

Hopes for a supposed Pro version<\/a> of the supposedly upcoming 2nd-gen AIO<\/a> might be raised by Mark Gurman’s new and specific name-drop of 2 different “J433 and J434<\/i><\/a>” SKUs – only to be potentially crushed by assertions that either will be powered by just 1 choice of processor. On the other hand, both versions might skip the M2<\/a> and progress to the M3<\/a> this year. <\/p>\n

Then again, the next-gen, albeit vanilla<\/a>, silicon is tipped to launch in tandem with desktops<\/a> of a very similar (if not the exact same) ultra-thin and light form-factor of Apple’s current signature AIO<\/a> – down to the same unusual range of color options and 24-inch display.\n<\/p>\n

Judging by its current alleged status <\/a>within Apple (“an advanced stage of development<\/a> called engineering validation testing<\/i>” (or EVT<\/a>)), this potential iMac (2021)<\/a> refresh may be once again ready to target the casual home PC <\/a>niche by the second half of 2023.\n<\/p>\n
