You don\u2019t need to wait for the show to start, you can start participating now by voting, viewing exclusive content, redeeming rewards and more on <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/vQCCep6yyq\">https:\/\/t.co\/vQCCep6yyq<\/a>!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u2014 Krapopolis (,) (@Krapopolis) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Krapopolis\/status\/1631096977113882625?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 2, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Speaking to Deadline on March 2, Michael Thorn, Fox\u2019s president of scripted programming,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2023\/03\/krapopolis-homer-simpson-peter-griffin-bob-belcher-fox-michael-thorn-london-tv-screenings-1235276639\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">noted<\/a>\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019re so bullish about the work that we want to support and its ability to find an audience and succeed,\u201d as he emphasized his faith in Harmon. \u201cWhile [a third season order] is atypical,<em> <\/em>it was a no-brainer for us with <em>Krapopolis<\/em>,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n<p><em>Krapopolis<\/em> is an animated comedy set in ancient Greece that follows a \u201cflawed family of humans, gods and monsters that try to run one of the world\u2019s first cities without killing each other.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The cast includes some big names such as Richard Ayode, Matt Berry, Pam Murphy, Duncan Trussell and Hannah Waddingham. <\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"100%\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/YIgqvQ3SVhE\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The series is produced by Fox Corp\u2019s NFT firm <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/fox-launches-100m-creative-fund-for-nft-content-creation\">Blockchain Creative Labs<\/a>, which also provides the NFT-related elements for the show. <\/p>\n<p>The NFTs are called \u201cKrap Chickens,\u201d and depict cartoon chicken avatars in the same art style as the show. There are 10,420 tokens, with some still up for mint at 0.18 Ether (<a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/ethereum-price\">ETH<\/a>). <\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2023-03\/e361ad31-a7ff-47a3-ade4-f0f9140904e2.png\" alt title><figcaption><em>Krap Chickens. Source: Krapopolis <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Holders are given exclusive access to experiences, content, rewards and voting rights on certain aspects of the show. <\/p>\n<h3>Square Enix\u2019s CEO steps down<\/h3>\n<p>Square Enix\u2019s NFT-friendly CEO, Yosuke Matsuda, is stepping down after nearly 10 years at the helm of the firm behind the fantasy franchise. <\/p>\n<p>In a March notification of company changes, Square Enix <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hd.square-enix.com\/eng\/news\/pdf\/web_Notification%20of%20Changes%20in%20the%20Representative%20Director%20of%20the%20Company%20and%20a%20Consolidated%20Subsidiary.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">outlined<\/a> that Takashi Kiryu will take over the CEO role from Matsuda. However, the move won\u2019t be finalized until an annual shareholders meeting in May. <\/p>\n<p>While Web3 and NFTs weren\u2019t referenced explicitly in the notification, the firm did indicate that it is still looking to push on with new tech integrations, suggesting its blockchain-related plans may remain unhindered. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnder the rapid change of business environment surrounding the entertainment industry, the proposed change is intended to reshape the management team with the goal of adopting ever-evolving technological innovations and maximizing on the creativity of the Company\u2019s group,\u201d the filing read. <\/p>\n<p>While at Square Enix, Matsuda took a bullish position on Web3 gaming several times. <\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/final-fantasy-creator-reveals-aggressive-investment-in-blockchain-games\">New Year\u2019s letter from Jan. 1<\/a>,\u00a0Matsuda emphasized Square Enix had devoted \u201caggressive investment and business development efforts\u201d toward the space in 2022 and would continue to do so in 2023. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing the excitement and exhilaration that surrounded NFTs and the metaverse in 2021, 2022 was a year of great volatility in the blockchain-related space,\u201d he mentioned in the note, adding: <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, if this proves to have been a step in a process that leads to the creation of rules and a more transparent business environment, it will definitely have been for the good of the growth of blockchain entertainment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Under Mastuda\u2019s leadership, Square Enix rolled out <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/square-enix-partners-with-enjin-to-launch-final-fantasy-vii-collectibles\">tokenized\u00a0Final Fantasy character collectibles<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/square-enix-partners-with-enjin-to-launch-final-fantasy-vii-collectibles\"><\/a> in July 2022 and partnered with the <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/final-fantasy-creators-join-oasys-blockchain-gamers-whine-about-it\">Oasys blockchain gaming project<\/a> in September. In December 2022, the firm also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/nifty-news-square-enix-invests-into-nft-gaming-firm-beeple-speaks-on-nft-art-future-and-more\">invested $52.7 million<\/a> into mobile game developer Gumi Games to help develop mobile-based play-to-earn titles.<\/p>\n<h3>Mint Madness<\/h3>\n<p>Multichain NFT marketplace Magic Eden has launched a \u201cMint Madness\u201d campaign that offers free access or \u201cfree mints\u201d to 13 Web3 games in March. <\/p>\n<p>Mint Madness went <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/magic-eden-announces-mint-madness-over-a-dozen-projects-partnering-on-free-mints-this-month-301761195.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">live<\/a> on March 3, and the name is a nod to the famous NCAA college basketball tournament dubbed \u201cMarch Madness,\u201d which sees roughly 67 basketball games crammed into the month. <\/p>\n<p>The blockchain games are spread across Polygon, Ethereum and Solana, with nine, three and one apiece, respectively.
