{"id":613362,"date":"2023-03-02T05:52:03","date_gmt":"2023-03-02T11:52:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.sellorbuyhomefast.com\/index.php\/2023\/03\/02\/inland-homes-chair-quits-as-company-admits-possible-regulatory-breach\/"},"modified":"2023-03-02T05:52:03","modified_gmt":"2023-03-02T11:52:03","slug":"inland-homes-chair-quits-as-company-admits-possible-regulatory-breach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2023\/03\/02\/inland-homes-chair-quits-as-company-admits-possible-regulatory-breach\/","title":{"rendered":"Inland Homes chair quits as company admits possible regulatory breach"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"wrapper_sleeve\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"414\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ca.emap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2023\/03\/inland-homes.jpg\"   alt=\"inland-homes.jpg\">        <\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span>Inland Homes has lost its chair and two non-executive directors, as the company admitted it may have breached rules for listed companies<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>On Tuesday (28 February) the publicly listed homebuilder delayed the announcement of its results for the year ending 30 September 2022 to give auditors PricewaterhouseCoopers more time to \u201cfinalise and complete the accounts and related audit procedures\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In January, the homebuilder said it expected losses to be around \u00a391m \u2013 more than the \u00a337m loss it had previously predicted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>On Wednesday (1 March), the Buckinghamshire-based firm then announced that Simon Bennett, the group\u2019s chair, and two non-executive directors, Carol Duncumb and Brian Johnson, had resigned.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The builder, which specialises in residential schemes on brownfield land, also said it had become aware of \u201ccertain related party issues [\u2026] of which the board was not informed at the relevant times\u201d. It said these transactions \u201cmay or may not fall to be treated as related party transactions under the AIM rules\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Companies listed on AIM \u2013 a stock market for small and medium-sized businesses overseen by the London Stock Exchange \u2013 must immediately disclose the terms of a transaction with a \u201crelated parties\u201d such as shareholders, directors or their family members.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Inland Homes said it was \u201ccollating relevant details\u201d of the breach, after which an announcement will be made.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Bennett, the company\u2019s chairman, has agreed to stay in place as a non-executive director for up to two weeks while new appointments are made. Under the company\u2019s terms, it has to have a minimum of two directors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Inland Homes said it plans to reappoint its co-founder and former boss, Stephen Wicks, to its board \u201cas soon as possible\u201d following due-diligence checks. More board appointments will be made in \u201cdue course\u201d, the group added.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The company warned that if it failed to appoint any new directors in the next two weeks, its shares would be suspended.
