\n\tIndian cinema legend Amitabh Bachchan<\/a> will headline Ribhu Dasgupta\u2019s courtroom drama thriller \u201cSection 84.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tThe film is produced by Reliance Entertainment<\/a>, Film Hangar and Saraswati Entertainment in association with Jio Studios<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tThis film will mark Bachchan and Dasgupta\u2019s third collaboration after the critical success of Sony Entertainment Television India\u2019s 2014 miniseries \u201cYudh\u201d and 2016 film \u201cTe3n.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBachchan\u2019s last release was Sooraj Barjatya\u2019s \u201cUunchai,\u201d<\/a> one of the few box office hits in a 2022 that was otherwise dull for Bollywood. <\/p>\n \n\tReliance Entertainment has been active in the distribution space recently, releasing Steven Spielberg\u2019s Oscar contender \u201cThe Fabelmans\u201d in India<\/a>, which it also coproduced, and striking a deal for the international distribution of \u201cFaraaz,\u201d \u201cBheed\u201d and \u201cAfwaah\u201d <\/a>with T-Series and Benaras Mediaworks. <\/p>\n \n\tDasgupta said: \u201cI feel happy, blessed and honored to collaborate with Sir [Bachchan] again. Looking forward to it.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tVivek B. Recent credits include Busan 2022 selection \u201cThe Storyteller\u201d and \u201cBhediya,\u201d starring Varun Dhawan. The outfit\u2019s upcoming 2023 marquee title is Rajkumar Hirani\u2019s \u201cDunki,\u201d starring Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently white hot at the box office with the global success of \u201cPathaan.\u201d <\/p>\n \n\tThe last courtroom drama starring Bachchan was Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury\u2019s \u201cPink\u201d (2016). <\/p>\n
