Known as TwelveFold, the collection features 300 generative collectibles that visualize the \u201ccartography of data on the Bitcoin <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fullycrypto.com\/blockchain-news\"><span>blockchain<\/span><\/a><span>.\u201d Yuga Labs\u2019 Bitcoin NFT project comes roughly two weeks after <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fullycrypto.com\/nft-collector-moves-bored-ape-to-bitcoin\"><span>a Bored Ape collector moved his ape to the Bitcoin blockchain<\/span><\/a><span>, something that Yuga considered an unlicensed reproduction of the Bored Ape.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span>No Link to Other Web 3.0 Projects<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>According to Yuga Labs, TwelveFold comprises 12\u00d712 grids that showcase how the BTC-powered network stores data. A limited edition collection of 300 generative pieces, inscribed on satoshis on the Bitcoin blockchain.<a href=\u201dhttps:\/\/t.co\/aFWEIhzqcI\u201d>https:\/\/t.co\/aFWEIhzqcI<\/a> <a href=\u201dhttps:\/\/t.co\/PjWABKKBr4\u2033>pic.twitter.com\/PjWABKKBr4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Yuga Labs (@yugalabs) <a href=\u201dhttps:\/\/twitter.com\/yugalabs\/status\/1630342395295412232?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\u201d>February 27, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\u201dhttps:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\u201d charset=\u201dutf-8\u2033><\/script>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Yuga <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/news.yuga.com\/twelvefold#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><span>disclosed <\/span><\/a><span>that the NFTs have no links with its other <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fullycrypto.com\/what-is-web-3-0\"><span>Web 3.0 <\/span><\/a><span>projects on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fullycrypto.com\/ethereum-2-0-a-beginners-guide\"><span>Ethereum <\/span><\/a><span>blockchain, adding that the collection was created by the company\u2019s in-house team, which is a deviation front using freelance artists that have put the company in trouble in the past.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Another deviation is that the collection has a total of 300 artworks which is unlike Yuga\u2019s style of developing an NFT collection with less than 10,000 artworks. According to Yuga Labs co-founder Greg Solano, this is an intentional move to step out of \u201cwhat\u2019s expected.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span>Ethereum is Better<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>However, Solano noted that the Bitcoin NFT world is still in its early days and lacks the \u201ctooling and structure\u201d found on the Ethereum blockchain. The Yuga executive expressed optimism in Bitcoin Ordinals inscriptions and what the Bitcoin blockchain holds \u201cfor digital artifacts.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Despite more NFT projects eyeing the BTC-based NFT ecosystem, some in the Bitcoin community think that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fullycrypto.com\/ordinals-nft-project-divides-the-bitcoin-community\"><span>bringing NFTs on the blockchain goes against Satoshi Nakamoto\u2019s will <\/span><\/a><span>while others see it as a way to expand BTC\u2019s utility.
