NFL rumors have Jalen Ramsey on the trade block but the Rams cornerback appeared to respond to the idea with laughter on Twitter.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The Rams could be on the verge of a fire sale with All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner set to be released and reports that cornerback Jalen Ramsey is likely to be traded.<\/p>\n

While Wagner and LA came to a mutual agreement to part ways, it doesn\u2019t sound like a trade is something Ramsey sees in his future.<\/p>\n

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported on Friday<\/a> that \u201cthe Rams have had trade talks\u201d concerning Ramsey with league sources expecting him to be \u201cdealt in coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ramsey took to Twitter with what could be a vague response. First, he tweeted a string of laughing crying emojis.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe \u2018story\u2019 sounds better than the truth sometimes I\u2019ll admit that\u2026 I live in the truth tho. God is so great! I am blessed & highly favored!\u201d Ramsey tweeted a few minutes later.<\/p>\n

A third tweet read: \u201cLol I was just at Nobu in Malibu enjoying my lunch then phone wanna start buzzing.\u201d<\/p>\n

So it sounds like it was news to Ramsey that he\u2019s on the trade block.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s entirely possible he is. The Rams are letting Wagner go to save cap space and to let him find a contender to join. They are $15 million above the cap, according to Spotrac<\/a>, so they have work to do this offseason. Ramsey is owed\u00a0$17 million in 2023 and there would certainly be plenty of teams interested in adding his services<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, that doesn\u2019t mean a trade is coming down the line. The Rams may want to blow things up, or they may decide that a quick turnaround isn\u2019t so farfetched<\/a>. Ramsey is still one of the top DBs in the league. We\u2019ll have to see how it plays out.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
