{"id":611278,"date":"2023-02-24T03:52:21","date_gmt":"2023-02-24T09:52:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.sellorbuyhomefast.com\/index.php\/2023\/02\/24\/morgan-sindall-revenue-hits-3-6bn\/"},"modified":"2023-02-24T03:52:21","modified_gmt":"2023-02-24T09:52:21","slug":"morgan-sindall-revenue-hits-3-6bn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2023\/02\/24\/morgan-sindall-revenue-hits-3-6bn\/","title":{"rendered":"Morgan Sindall revenue hits \u00a33.6bn"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"wrapper_sleeve\">\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"413\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ca.emap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2023\/02\/MSPS-Engineer-05-1024x682.jpg\"   alt=\"MSPS-Engineer-05-1024x682.jpg\">        <\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Morgan Sindall has become the UK\u2019s second-largest contractor after posting revenue of \u00a33.6bn in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>This morning (23 February) the contractor unveiled yet another set of \u201crecord\u201d results, with the company\u2019s revenue increasing by 12 per cent, from \u00a33.2bn, during 2022.\u00a0This means Morgan Sindall is now larger than Kier, which earned \u00a33.3bn in its last financial year.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan Sindall\u2019s pre-tax profit fell by 32 per cent in 2022 from \u00a3126m to \u00a385m \u2013 however, the company said this was mainly due to writing off \u00a348.9m to cover historic building-safety liabilities.<\/p>\n<p>The group hinted that some of the written-off money could be recouped through the courts, saying its provision \u201cdoes not include the benefit of any potential income subsequently received for recoveries from third parties\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Morgan Sindall said its adjusted pre-tax profit, which excludes the building safety charge and \u00a32m of intangible amortisation, increased by 6 per cent to \u00a3139m.
